Job summary

Search Recruitment are seeking an experienced TIG Welder for a leading manufacturer based in Gainsborough. The role involves welding stainless and mild steel exhaust components to high standards on a permanent afternoon shift with a four-day week.

You will read engineering drawings, use jigs and measurement equipment, and carry out quality checks while maintaining health & safety practices. Ongoing, full-time work with weekly pay and immediate starts are available.

Responsibilities

TIG Welder

Location: Gainsborough

Pay: £14.50 - £17.19 per hour

Hours: 39 paid hours per week

Shift Pattern

Monday to Wednesday: 2:30pm - 1:00am

Thursday: 2:30pm - 12:00am

About the Role

Search Recruitment are currently recruiting for experienced TIG Welders on behalf of a leading manufacturing company based in Gainsborough.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturer offering long-term, ongoing work on a permanent afternoon shift across a four-day working week.

As a TIG Welder, you'll be responsible for welding stainless steel and mild steel exhaust system components to a high standard, ensuring all work meets customer specifications while maintaining quality and health & safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• TIG welding stainless steel and mild steel components
• Reading and working from engineering drawings
• Producing high-quality welds to specification
• Using jigs, fixtures and measuring equipment
• Carrying out quality checks and completing production documentation
• Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards
• Working safely in line with Health & Safety procedures
• Working independently and as part of a team to meet production targets

Requirements

• Previous TIG welding experience within a manufacturing environment
• Experience welding stainless steel
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Good attention to detail
• Reliable with a positive attitude
• Able to work to quality standards and production targets

Desirable

• Welding NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3 (or equivalent)
• Experience using Vernier callipers and measuring equipment
• Knowledge of 5S or continuous improvement practices
