Job summary

Sacro is recruiting a Throughcare Community Worker to support men, women and young people returning to the community after short sentences or remand. Based in Lanarkshire, this 1 FTE fixed-term role runs to 31 March 2028.

The post is primarily remote with some presence at the Edinburgh/Glasgow work hub and travel for engagement events across the partnership. You will build trusting relationships, collaborate with partners, and tailor practical and relational support to individual needs in a

Qualifications

• Experience in community settings preferred.
• SVQ3 or equivalent education desirable.
• Strong communication and collaborative spirit essential.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals returning to their community with relational and practical assistance.
• Assist with coordinated pre-release planning with partners and prison staff.
• Develop local connections to services and wider community supports.
• Travel to engagement events and work across Lanarkshire and partner sites as required.
