Job summary

Holt Engineering in Poole is seeking an experienced Through-Hole Solderer to join a busy manufacturing team. The role focuses on high-quality through-hole soldering to IPC standards, assembling components on PCBs, and maintaining production quality.

You will read technical drawings, work from production instructions, and help hit deadlines in a four-day week (Mon–Thu) with Fri-Sun off. IPC certification is preferred but not essential; applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.

Through-Hole Solderer – Poole£13ph+ DOE | Monday–Thursday | 4-Day Week | 3-Day Weekend | Immediate Opportunity

Holt Engineering is currently recruiting for an experienced Through-Hole Solderer to join a busy and growing manufacturing team based near Poole.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced solderer looking for a stable long-term role with an excellent work-life balance, working just four days a week with every Friday, Saturday and Sunday off.

The Role

As a Through-Hole Solderer, you will be responsible for:

• - Carrying out high-quality through-hole soldering to IPC standards
• - Assembling electronic components onto PCBs
• - Inspecting completed work and maintaining high-quality standards
• - Working from technical drawings and production instructions
• - Ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently
• - Supporting production targets and deadlines

What We're Looking For

• - Previous experience in through-hole soldering
• - Strong attention to detail
• - Ability to read and follow technical drawings
• - Experience working to IPC standards
• - IPC certification is preferred but not essential
• - Reliable and able to work well as part of a team
• - A good attitude and strong work ethic
