Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Detection Engineer to join the global Threat Hunt and Cyber Detection (THCD) team. You will develop detections, triage alerts, and enhance bespoke tools to defend Morgan Stanley networks.

Bring 3–5 years in cybersecurity (hunt/intel/detection eng/IR/SOC) and a strong Python/Cloud security background. Flexible working options are available within a global organization.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity roles (hunt, intel, detection eng, blue team, IR, SOC).
• Ability to gather requirements and distill them into solutions.
• Strong understanding of security architecture and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Contribute in threat hunting, threat intelligence, data analysis, risk management and governance for a global team.
• Evaluate threats and countermeasures, assessing impact on security posture.
• Work with Sigma, Yara, ElasticSearch and Python in a fast-paced environment.
• Monitor vulnerabilities and cyber events affecting third parties/vendors.
• Enhance bespoke tooling and implement new hunting ideas.
