Job summary

D R Newitt & Associates are seeking a hands-on Process Technologist in the Newcastle area to lead the development, optimisation and validation of thermal processes, ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance across our product range.

You will act as the link between NPD, Technical, and Manufacturing, translating kitchen recipes into scalable factory processes, driving improvements, planning trials, and compiling robust technical documentation for successful product launches with leading

Qualifications

• Background in thermal processes for food products.
• Experience validating thermal processes and collecting data.
• Knowledge of HACCP and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work on factory floors and run trials.

Responsibilities

• Design and validate thermal processes for new and existing products
• Scale up recipes from kitchen to factory
• Plan and lead factory trials
• Improve production efficiency and reduce waste
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Conduct thermal studies and support HACCP plans
• Liaise with cross-functional teams and suppliers
• Support new equipment commissioning
• Ensure nutritional claims and compliance are met
• Join customer visits and support first productions
