Job summary

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust in Stafford is seeking a Therapy Technical Instructor (Band 3) to join the Medicine Therapy Team. The post rotates across Royal Stoke University Hospital and County Hospital wards, delivering therapy interventions and developing competencies in Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy.

The successful candidate will have NHS/healthcare experience, be able to work in a team, and manage their own caseload, with weekend work required in a 7-day shift

Qualifications

• GCSE English at C/4 or above or evidence of good literacy.
• GCSE Maths at C/4 or above or evidence of good numeracy.
• GCSE Science at C/4 or above.
• Therapy Apprenticeship completed or underway.
• Qualification in health/social or sports environment.

Responsibilities

• Work within a 7 day shift system; weekend and bank holiday work required.
• Rotations include General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Medicine acute/respiratory, Emergency portals/A&E, Oncology/Renal, Orthopaedics.
• Supervision by Band 5/6/7 Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist; development supported via appraisal and training.
