Job summary

University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust in Stafford is seeking a Therapy Technical Instructor to join the Medicine Therapy Team. The role requires experience in a healthcare setting with an understanding of therapy interventions and competencies to be completed in Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy.

You will rotate across acute wards at Royal Stoke University Hospital and County Hospital, working within a seven-day shift system that includes weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in a NHS or other Healthcare/social/Sports environment.
• Experience of working in a therapy environment.
• GCSEs as listed and completion/undertaking Therapy Apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Therapy Services operate on a 7-day shift system, including weekends and bank holidays.
• Rotations include General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Medicine acute and respiratory, Emergency portals / A+E, Oncology/Renal, Orthopaedics.
• Supervision will be provided by Band 5/6/7 Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist; development supported through appraisal and training.
