About Stagenhoe: Stagenhoe is a Brainkind specialist neurological care centre located in Hertfordshire, caring for adults with neurological conditions. We provide comprehensive care to optimize health, independence, and emotional well-being, using expert neurorehabilitation to enhance the lives of our service users.

Main Purpose

To provide effective leadership to a specialized therapy and recreational therapy team, supporting service delivery, quality improvement, and clinical governance.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Oversee service delivery from referral to discharge, ensuring effective treatment planning and implementation.
  • Monitor team caseloads to ensure efficient service provision.
  • Lead clinical governance activities related to risk management and policy implementation.
  • Ensure high standards of service within guidelines and resource constraints, maintaining proper documentation.
  • Manage and support staff, providing on-site leadership and contributing to service development through participation in audits and evaluations.
  • Chair interdisciplinary team meetings and handle operational issues across organizational boundaries.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate therapy interventions based on service user needs.
  • Manage own caseload within a defined clinical area.
  • Monitor mandatory and ongoing training attendance.
  • Participate in research and development activities, including audits.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, uphold confidentiality, and undertake additional tasks as needed.
About You
  • BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Relevant post-registration training and leadership experience in health/social care
  • Membership of relevant professional groups (desirable)
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Experience working across healthcare settings with neurological conditions
  • Proven experience in evidence-based practice, research, and outcome measurement
  • Specialist knowledge in neurological therapy assessments and interventions
  • Leadership experience, including team management, objectives setting, and appraisals
