Job summary

Willow Green CIO in Warrington is seeking a Therapy Assistant to join the multi-disciplinary team and help deliver therapeutic approaches to learners with complex needs. Willow Green is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation supporting young people aged 16–25 with SEND. We provide high-quality, bespoke programmes that develop independence, confidence, employability and Preparation for Adulthood outcomes in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

The role

We are looking to appoint a Therapy Assistant who will be an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team working that takes place at Willow Green. The postholder will work in partnership with our Therapy Lead and a range of external stakeholders.

The Therapy Assistant will play a key role in supporting the delivery of therapeutic approaches across Willow Green, working closely with the Therapy Lead, colleagues and external professionals to ensure learners receive consistent, personalised and effective support.

The role requires a calm, reflective, and person-centred approach, with a strong focus on helping learners develop emotional regulation, communication, independence, and confidence in both college and community settings. Through direct work with learners, families, and the wider multidisciplinary team, the postholder will contribute to positive outcomes, safe practice, and meaningful progress for young people with complex needs.

You will draw upon knowledge, skills and experience of working with learners who have significant and complex special educational needs and/or disabilities; including those who have experienced adverse childhood experiences, have experienced or experiencing periods of non-attendance and who are at risk of becoming Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET). The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teaching, support, and Therapy colleagues to maximise progress for learners.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week 52 weeks. Monday-Friday 8.30am-4.30pm
