County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust in the North locality seeks a Band 3 Therapy Assistant to join our therapy rehabilitation team based at Shotley Bridge Hospital, with cross-site cover across Weardale, Chester‑le‑Street, Sedgefield and Richardson as required.

You will work under the supervision of senior occupational therapists and physiotherapists, contribute to rehabilitation, support timely discharges, and help patients, carers and families with health education.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in therapy rehabilitation setting preferred.
• Willingness to work a 6 day week rota including bank holidays and Saturdays.
• Must provide all essential certificates for pre-employment checks.

Aufgaben

• Assist in rehabilitation following band 4 assessment.
• Facilitate timely discharges and maximise patient independence.
• Provide health education and advice to patients, carers and families.
• Work under supervision of senior Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists.
• Deliver integrated physiotherapy and occupational therapy support in a community rehabilitation ward setting.
