Job summary

East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join Front Door Therapy Services at the William Harvey Hospital. The post holder will assist in assessing, planning, and discharging patients across acute areas in the Emergency Care Department.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, support therapists, and may participate in the apprenticeship scheme to develop clinical skills. Regular supervision and on-site training are provided.

Qualifications

• Initial assessments of patients' needs and progress to discharge.
• Support therapy plans from admission to discharge.
• Contribute to service development and apprenticeship opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessment, recovery and discharge of patients in Emergency Care.
• Work with multidisciplinary team to plan safe discharge arrangements.
• Support therapists and discharge managers in daily clinical tasks.
