Oversands School is an independent specialist day school providing high quality education, based in Grange-over-Sands. The school meets the needs of a diverse group of pupils with complex learning needs, social and emotional difficulties, and challenging behaviours.
“Here we know every pupil, their story, how we can help and importantly how they can succeed.” This statement is brought to life through a dedicated lower school designed with input from the pupils; an upper school offering a broad range of subjects; and a vocational and post-16 provision with extensive courses led by experts.
Our clinicians are a crucial part of the most joined-up model in SEND. Across all our specialist schools and children’s homes, we provide unrivalled clinical support, expertise, and breadth of provision. Our young people present with complex needs including developmental trauma, neuro-developmental conditions, and SEN.
As part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team, you will support educational and residential colleagues to create therapeutic living and learning environments, offering individualised interventions based on clinical assessment and formulation. You’ll assess mental health and recommend appropriate interventions in personalized care plans. Building rapport is key to delivering effective counselling and providing feedback on progress.
