Job summary

University Hospitals of Northamptonshire (UHN) is seeking an experienced Associate Head of Therapies (Band 8b) to provide leadership across UHN therapies at Kettering General Hospital and Northampton General Hospital during a 12-month secondment. The post supports the Head of Therapies with strategic, clinical and operational leadership, governance and workforce development.

The role requires regular presence at both NGH and KGH, with travel between sites and participation in tactical on‑call

Qualifications

• Registered Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist with current HCPC registration.
• Master's degree or equivalent level of postgraduate leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, operational and strategic leadership across designated therapy services and portfolios.
• Support the implementation of the UHN Therapies Strategy and wider organisational objectives.
• Lead quality improvement, governance and workforce initiatives.
