Vetro Recruitment seeks a Residential Child Care Worker for a small therapeutic home near Southampton (Lymington, Verwood or Fordingbridge). You will support children who have experienced trauma in a nurturing, family-like environment, using approaches such as PACE and DDP.

The role focuses on creating a safe, structured setting where children develop confidence and independence, with close collaboration with social workers and educators.

Qualifications

• Aged 21 or over.
• Full, clean UK driving licence (home vehicle provided).
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available).
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including sleep-ins, weekends and holidays.

Responsabilités

• Provide tailored emotional and practical support to meet individual needs.
• Act as a positive role model and foster trusting relationships.
• Support children during school runs, activities and family contact sessions.
• Plan and participate in recreational, educational and social activities.
• Assist children in reaching developmental milestones.
• Maintain household routines including cooking and cleaning.
• Complete daily records, reports and health and safety checks.
• Collaborate with social workers, educators and other professionals.
• Support shift patterns, including sleep-ins, weekends and bank holidays.
