Job summary

Health Recruit Network is recruiting Residential Support Workers for a brand-new therapeutic children’s residential home in East Sussex. You will support children with daily needs, helping them build confidence, independence, and positive relationships in a safe, nurturing setting.

Senior roles involve leading shifts and guiding colleagues, with specialist trauma-informed training provided. The role offers a rota-based pattern and excellent opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential childcare or transferable care experience.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children and families.
• Willingness to learn trauma-informed care and safeguarding practices.

Responsibilities

• Support children with everyday needs, promoting confidence and independence.
• Assist with education, activities, appointments and daily routines.
• Respond to emotional distress and challenging behaviour calmly and appropriately.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing and structured environment.
• Follow individual care plans and safeguarding procedures.
• Collaborate with colleagues to provide consistent care.
