Job summary

Brook Street in Buxton is recruiting a Registered Children's Home Manager to lead a two-bed residential home for children. The role focuses on trauma-informed care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance under Ofsted and Quality Standards.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, staff supervision, and service improvements to ensure positive outcomes for young people. The position requires leadership experience in residential childcare, Level 3 Diploma, driving licence, and right to work in the

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in residential childcare within the last 5 years.
• At least 12 months' experience supervising and managing care staff.
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Right to work in the UK
• Must be aged 21+ due to industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the daily operation of the home.
• Promote positive outcomes for children and young people.
• Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are fully embedded.
• Manage, support and develop the staff team through supervision and performance management.
• Maintain compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Quality Standards.
• Monitor care planning, risk assessments and placement outcomes.
• Build effective relationships with local authorities and external professionals.
• Drive continuous improvement and service excellence.
• Lead the home through inspections and regulatory requirements.
