Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a Materials Management Officer to support theatres, wards and departments with stock management, demand capture and distribution. You will manage stock levels, locations and supplier liaison to ensure timely supplies aligned with ward needs.

The role involves working with the Ward Product Management system, serving 20+ wards weekly and ensuring the right quantity and quality of items for clinical services. PVG checks and UK work eligibility apply.

Qualifications

• Experience with stock management in a hospital setting is desirable.
• Ability to coordinate with wards and departments to maintain stock levels.
• Strong customer service skills to ensure supplies are available on time.

Responsibilities

• Provide a materials management service for theatres, wards and departments.
• Manage stock levels, locations, demand capture and distribution through Ward systems.
• Replenish products to agreed levels as per NHS Lothian Supply Chain policies.
• Review ward stock levels on a scheduled basis and liaise with suppliers.
• Work with National Distribution Centre staff and deliver to 20+ wards/departments weekly.
• Ensure supplies are in the right quantity, quality, place and time to support clinical services.
