Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Theatre Support Worker to join Amersham theatres. You will support care for patients undergoing local-anaesthetic operations under supervision of a registered nurse or operating department practitioner, contributing to a patient-focused theatre team.

The role involves circulating duties, handling instruments, maintaining theatre stock, and ensuring date checks on sterile items. Training and assessment are part of the shortlisting process.

Job description

Amersham Theatres are looking for a Theatre Support Worker to join our growing team. As an elective surgery site for the trust, we support operations from several specialties, including Plastic surgery, Vascular Surgery, and Oculo-Plastic surgery.

You will be supporting the care of patients undergoing local-anaesthetic operations under the direction of a registered nurse (RN) or operating department practitioner (ODP) and contribute to their support. Successful candidates will support theatre practitioners in the delivery of patient-focused care in our clinical surgical teams.

If shortlisted, you will be required to undertake an assessment, that should take approximately 15 minutes.
