West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Theatre Support Worker to join the operating department under supervision of registered staff. You will organize equipment, assist with patient transfers, maintain stock, and support surgical teams to ensure safe, smooth lists.

Starting at band 2 with progression to band 3 after completing the Care Certificate and theatre competences. The role is fixed-term for 12 months with NHS terms and benefits; salary ranges £25,272–£27,476 per year pro rata.

Qualificações

• Holds National Care Certificate or willing to undertake within 12 weeks.
• National Care Certificate holder is preferred.
• Functional Maths/English Level 1 or GCSE equivalent.
• Previous experience as a Health Care Support Worker.
• Level 2 in Health, Health and Social Care or related subject.

Responsabilidades

• Organise and prepare equipment and supplies for operating lists.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and safe operating areas.
• Handle and dispose of clinical waste per policy.
• Monitor CSSD supplies and instrument tracking systems.
• Assist with patient transfer and positioning between hospital areas.
• Support theatre staff in gowning/gloving and opening packs.
