Job summary
Spire Hartswood Hospital in Essex is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support scrub nurses and consultants in the operating theatre. You will help in anaesthetic rooms, move patients, prepare sterile packs, and maintain infection control while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, Care Certificate or equivalent.
- Previous healthcare support or hospital experience preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork are essential.
Responsibilities
- Support nurses and consultants during surgical procedures.
- Assist scrub nurses within operating theatres.
- Support patients in the anaesthetic room.
- Safely transport patients to and from theatre and wards.
- Open sterile packs and prepare equipment for procedures.
- Prepare, check and handle surgical instruments.
- Maintain cleanliness and infection prevention standards.
- Contribute to a safe, efficient theatre environment.
- Provide reassurance and support to patients during their theatre experience.
