The Team:

The Launceston General Hospital is Tasmania's second largest hospital with a busy elective and emergency service utilising 9 main Operating Theatres. The LGH works closely with the University of Tasmania and is a major clinical teaching and research centre. All our services work closely together to deliver excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, workforce and the Tasmanian community guided by our CARE values.

The Role:

The Theatre Support Assistant - Supplies is a diverse and dynamic role that assists in the acquisition of equipment and consumables ensuring contemporary and optimal care within the Operating Room Suite.

You will need:

• A high level of critical thinking, adaptability and problem solving is required for success in this role.
• A knowledge of supply chain logistics and management of consumables in healthcare is desirable.
• This role requires collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary:$66,049 to $70,993 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

• Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
