Job summary

Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital is seeking a Theatre Practitioner (Scrub/ODP) to join our operating department on a bank basis. You will work across orthopaedic and related surgeries, delivering high-quality perioperative care and supporting a multidisciplinary team.

Bank roles include weekend work and ad-hoc hours. The role requires current registration (NMC or HCPC) and post-registration scrub experience.

Qualifications

• Registered with the appropriate governing body (NMC/HCPC).
• Post-registration experience in Scrub roles within a theatre environment.
• Experience in orthopaedic and spinal surgery settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Work in a multi-disciplinary team covering a varied patient caseload.
• Use state-of-the-art technology, equipment and facilities.
• Supervise, support and develop junior team members.
• Provide high-quality perioperative care in a multidisciplinary setting.
• Create high-quality care and patient experiences that are clinically effective and evidence-based.
• Pursue ongoing development, including Surgical First Assist training where possible.
