Job summary

Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dynamic Band 5 Scrub Practitioner to join its theatres teams across Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh. The role supports adult surgical cases with a rota across seven days, including day and night shifts, and welcomes soon-to-be-qualified student nurses and ODPs.

The post is 30 hours per week (part-time) with a salary of £32,073–£39,043 per annum, pro rata.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse/ODP with current NMC/HCPC registration.
• Experience of working on own and as a member of a team.
• Speak English to an appropriate standard relevant to their role, i.e. with confidence and accuracy, using correct sentence structures and vocabulary, and without hesitation.

Responsibilities

• Identify what is required of self in delivering individualised patient care.
• Develop competencies in self that safeguard practice and effectiveness in role. Ensuring compliance with NMC / AODP Codes of Conduct.
• Participate in the effective use of allocated resources / funding.
• Demonstrate awareness of local/national policies and strategies, and keep knowledge up-to-date.
