Job summary
Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Theatre Practitioner Scrub Nurse for the Day Surgery Unit at West Berkshire Community Hospital, Thatcham. The role covers scrub and circulating duties across Maxillo Facial, Plastics, General Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics and Vascular, with opportunities in recovery and Endoscopy.
You must be HCPC registered as an ODP or NMC registered nurse with scrub experience, with at least 1 year post-registration.
Qualifications
- HCPC registered ODP or an NMC registered nurse with scrub experience.
- At least 1 year post-registration scrub experience.
- Experience in a recovery setting.
- Experience in Endoscopy setting.
Responsibilities
- Scrub and circulate for theatre cases across multiple specialties.
- Provide skilled care in recovery and the Endoscopy area.
- Demonstrate high professional standards and contribute to a busy high‑throughput unit.
