Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust is recruiting for Registered Practitioner - Theatres to support a 24/7 operating schedule across multiple theatres, including QE2, with rotations across vascular, orthopaedics, obstetrics, plastics and more.

You will work evenings, nights, on calls and weekends, ensuring safe patient care and sterile theatre readiness while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Receive, transfer and position patients for clinical procedures.
• Prepare the Theatre for surgery and set up sterile equipment and supplies.
• Decontaminate, troubleshoot and report faulty equipment as needed.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Be flexible to work in any Theatre area and undertake on-call/out-of-hours duties.
