Job summary

York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking ODPs or Anaesthetic Nurses to join our theatres across Scarborough and Bridlington. We operate eight theatres with a wide range of specialties and an excellent same-day discharge rate for joint replacements.

The role focuses on supporting anaesthetic needs of peri-operative patients, with training in airway management for deteriorating patients. Applicants should have three years’ peri-operative experience and an anaesthetic

Qualifications

• ODP or Anaesthetic Nurse with anaesthetic qualifications.
• Minimum 3 years’ peri-operative experience.
• Evidence of training in peri-operative roles is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support anaesthetic needs of peri-operative patients.
• Assist emergency response teams with airway management.
• Maintain safe, clean working environment and accurate records.
• Communicate with patients and carers to provide information.
• Follow Nursing and HCPC standards of practice.
