Job summary

Mersey West Lancashire NHS Trust in Southport is seeking enthusiastic Theatre Practitioners to join the Southport & Ormskirk Theatre teams. This is a full-time, permanent post offering 37.5 hours per week with on-call commitments and 24-hour emergency cover.

The role requires Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner with current NMC or HCPC registration, relevant diploma or degree, and teaching/mentoring qualifications.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse/Operating Department Practitioner with current NMC or HCPC registration.
• Relevant diploma or degree, or actively working towards.
• Teaching/mentoring qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support development of clinical teams by creating a learning environment.
• Assist in delegation of work within the team and review performance.
• Work with Theatre Team Leader on operational aspects of theatres.
• Establish strong relationships with service users to drive service improvement.
