Job summary

Circle Health Group in Stirling is recruiting a Theatre Practitioner to join the Theatre department on a full-time, permanent basis. The role requires 37.5 hours per week with a flexible shift pattern and a salary of up to £40,425 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

You will support the surgical team by preparing instruments, maintaining sterility, assisting the anaesthetist, and providing post-operative care, while upholding infection control and patient safety standards.

Qualifications

• Registration with NMC is required.
• HCPC registration as ODP is required.
• Experience in theatre environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instruments, maintain sterility, anticipate surgeon needs, and assist anaesthetist.
• Provide post-operative care and monitor vital signs.
• Support anaesthetist with airway management and patient positioning.
• Set up operating theatres according to surgery type and patient requirements.
• Check equipment prior to use and report faults.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure safe surgical lists.
