Job summary

North Cheshire and Mersey NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Theatre Practitioner to work a dual role (scrub/recovery) across Halton Site theatres, including Nightingale and CSTM specialities. Applications are welcome from experienced staff, newly qualified ODPs/RGNs, or students due to qualify soon, with a supportive preceptorship.

The role supports the perioperative journey, with opportunities to work in anaesthetics, scrub and recovery, and a strong focus on patient safety and teamwork

Qualifications

• Experience as a Theatre Practitioner or ODP/RGN, or student due to qualification within 6 months.
• Willingness to work in Dual Role: Scrub and Recovery.
• Ability to work with surgeons and anaesthetic team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Scrub for a range of surgical specialities and manage equipment and counts.
• Assist anaesthetists with airway management and preoperative checks.
• Care for patients in the postoperative phase and monitor recovery.
• Support perioperative patient journey across Halton Site theatres.
