Job summary

Circle Health Group, Huddersfield Private Hospital, is seeking a Theatre Practitioner on a bank basis to support theatre teams during busy periods and staff absences. Role involves assisting the surgical team, maintaining sterile technique, and ensuring patient safety across procedures.

The successful candidate will have theatre experience with scrub/anaesthetics or recovery, infection control knowledge, and the ability to work under pressure within a dynamic private hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a theatre environment handling scrub, anaesthetics, or recovery.
• Good infection control and patient safety knowledge.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic schedules.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instruments and maintain sterility for surgical cases.
• Assist surgical team and anaesthetist with equipment, airway management, and patient monitoring.
• Set up operating theatres according to surgery type and patient needs.
• Check equipment prior to use and report faults promptly.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient theatre lists.
