Job summary

Circle Health Group is seeking a Theatre Practitioner for bank shifts at Huddersfield Private Hospital. The role involves assisting sterile preparation, instrument handling and multidisciplinary team support across theatres.

You will aid anaesthetics, help with patient monitoring, positioning and post‑op care, while upholding infection control and safety standards in a busy private hospital network.

Qualifications

• Registered with NMC or HCPC and eligible to practise in the UK.
• Experience in a theatre environment, scrub, anaesthetics or recovery.
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instruments, maintain sterility and assist the surgical team.
• Support the anaesthetist with equipment, monitoring, airway management and positioning.
• Provide post-operative care, monitor vitals, manage pain and nausea.
• Ensure infection control policies are followed at all times.
• Set up operating theatres according to surgery type and patient needs.
• Check equipment and report faults prior to use.
• Work with the team to deliver safe, efficient theatre lists.
