Fairfield Independent Hospital, part of Circle Health Group, is seeking a Theatre Practitioner on a bank basis in St Helens. You will join the Theatre Department, supporting the surgical team across scrubbing, anaesthetics and recovery, and provide flexible cover during busy periods.

The role requires NMC or HCPC registration, theatre experience, strong infection control knowledge, and the ability to perform well under pressure while maintaining high patient safety standards.

Qualifikationen

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or ODP (HCPC) registration is required.
• Experience or training in a theatre environment (scrub, anaesthetics or recovery).
• Strong infection control and patient safety knowledge.
• Ability to work under pressure and communicate effectively with the team.

Aufgaben

• Prepare instruments and maintain sterility; anticipate surgeon needs.
• Support anaesthetist with equipment prep, patient monitoring, airway management and positioning.
• Provide post-operative care and monitor vital signs, pain and nausea, readiness for discharge.
• Adhere to infection prevention and control policies at all times.
• Set up theatres according to surgery type and patient requirements.
• Report faults on surgical and anaesthetic equipment immediately.
