Job summary

Circle Health Group is seeking a Theatre Practitioner on a bank basis at The Saxon Clinic in Milton Keynes. The role involves supporting the surgical team, maintaining sterile conditions, and ensuring patient readiness for discharge.

The post requires theatre experience in scrub, anaesthetics, or recovery, and registration with the NMC or HCPC. The position offers flexible, as-and-when-required hours and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or HCPC-registered ODP.
• Experience or training in theatre (scrub, anaesthetics or recovery).
• Infection control, manual handling and patient safety knowledge.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and safe surgical practice.
• SFA qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instruments and maintain sterility; assist surgeon and anaesthetist; provide post-operative care and monitor vitals.
• Ensure infection prevention policies are followed at all times.
• Set up operating theatres according to surgery type and patient needs.
• Check surgical and anaesthetic equipment before use and report faults.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver safe lists.
• Contribute to a positive, efficient theatre environment.
