Job summary

Ross Hall Hospital in Glasgow, part of Circle Health Group, is seeking a Theatre Practitioner on a bank basis to support the theatre team as and when required. You will prepare instruments, maintain sterility, assist the anaesthetist, monitor patients and help ensure safe, smooth surgical lists.

This flexible role offers an hourly rate of up to £22.50, depending on experience. Applicants should be registered (NMC/HCPC) and have theatre experience; Circle Health Group offers a supportive

Qualifications

• HCPC registered or NMC registration.
• Experience or training in theatre (scrub/anaesthetics/recovery).
• Understanding of infection prevention and patient safety.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safe surgical practice.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instruments, maintain sterility, anticipate surgeon needs, support anaesthetist and provide post-operative care.
• Adhere to infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
• Set up theatres according to surgery type and patient requirements.
• Check surgical and anaesthetic equipment before use and report faults.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for safe, efficient surgical lists.
• Contribute to a positive, respectful theatre environment.
