Job summary

Circle Health Group in Glasgow is seeking a Theatre Practitioner for bank shifts. You will join the Ross Hall Hospital theatre team and supplement staff during busy periods, ensuring sterile preparation, equipment safety, and patient readiness for discharge.

The role requires theatre experience and registration with the appropriate governing body; you will work on an as-and-when-required basis, contributing to high standards of care in a private healthcare network.

Qualifications

• Must be registered and eligible to practice in the relevant professional body.
• Experience in a theatre environment (scrub, anaesthetics or recovery) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team by preparing instruments, maintaining sterility and equipment safety.
• Support the anaesthetist with equipment, monitoring and patient positioning.
• Provide post-operative care, monitor vitals and manage pain and nausea.
• Ensure infection prevention policies are followed at all times.
• Set up operating theatres according to surgery type and patient needs.
• Foster a positive, collaborative theatre environment.
