Job summary

Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust in Redditch is recruiting a Band 5 Theatre Practitioner (RN/ODP) to join the Alexandra Hospital theatres team. The role spans anaesthetic and recovery care, with supervision by senior staff and opportunities to develop across the perioperative pathway.

Open to experienced or newly qualified practitioners who are flexible to work across countywide theatres and shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be Anaesthetic and Recovery trained.
• Registered Nurse (NMC) or ODP (HCPC) with current registration.
• Experience working in the theatre environment and as part of a team.
• Ability to rotate across sites and shifts as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the theatre environment and equipment for procedures.
• Assist surgical and anaesthetic teams during operations.
• Monitor patients during the perioperative period and document care.
• Adhere to infection prevention, safety policies, and reporting.
