Job summary

Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an ODP/Theatre Nurse to join the Theatre Department. You will work across Orthopedics, General Surgery, Urology, Breast, ENT and Maxillo-Facial, including an out of hours service.

You must be HCPC registered as an ODP or NMC registered with anesthetic module, and you will support peri-operative care in a busy multidisciplinary team. Face-to-face interviews with a practical assessment are required; the role emphasises patient safety,

Qualifications

• HCPC registered ODP or NMC registered nurse with anesthetic module.
• Experience in perioperative practice and peri-anesthesia nursing care.
• Flexible, motivated and able to work in a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Support the peri-operative team to ensure efficient anesthesia service.
• Prepare equipment and drugs, including anaesthetic machines and IV setups.
• Supervise junior colleagues in the absence of senior staff.
• Maintain safe, welcoming care environments and patient flow.
