Job summary

Nuffield Health Newcastle Hospital is seeking a Senior Theatre Practitioner (ODP) to join our perioperative team. You will be registered with the HCPC and hold the relevant qualifications, bringing a passion for high standards in theatre care. This permanent, full-time role includes weekend work and is based at our Jesmond site in Newcastle.

You will prioritise patient safety, support governance and lead care delivery in a collaborative hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Registered with HCPC and eligible to practice in the UK.
• Current perioperative nursing qualifications.
• Experience in theatre or ODP role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prioritise patient safety and report safety concerns.
• Promote a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Support governance per national standards and quality framework.
• Lead care management and delivery with compassion.
• Collaborate with theatre colleagues to enhance patient care.
• Take charge of a theatre, coordinating activities and mentoring juniors.
