Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a Theatre Practitioner to join the Operating Theatres team in Glasgow. You will deliver high quality perioperative care across surgical specialties and support patient safety throughout the surgical journey.

Permanent role with 24 hour rotational pattern, offering access to theatre-specific training, induction, and mentoring. Open to individuals committed to ongoing professional development and flexible working where service needs allow.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or ODP with current registration.
• Knowledge of perioperative care delivery.
• Commitment to patient safety and professional standards.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to undertake theatre-specific training.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist perioperative care before, during and after surgery.
• Assist in preparing operating theatres and equipment.
• Support surgical procedures as anaesthetic and scrub practitioner.
• Monitor patients throughout the perioperative journey.
