Job summary

Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital is seeking an experienced Theatre Manager to lead the Theatre, Cath Lab and Endoscopy teams at our Exeter site. You will bring senior clinical leadership, nursing or practitioner qualifications, and a track record in teaching and assessment.

A management qualification is advantageous. Core hours are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday with some weekend work, and you will participate in on-call rotation to provide clinical leadership and operational oversight.

Qualifications

• Nursing or practitioner qualification required.
• Experience in teaching and assessment is preferred.
• Senior-level clinical leadership experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire Theatre, Cath Lab and Endoscopy teams.
• Champion safe, high-quality patient care.
• Build relationships with consultants and senior leaders.
• Develop and support staff to achieve clinical outcomes.
• Manage budgets, business planning and governance.
• Collaborate across departments to enhance patient experiences.
• Drive improvements and support CQC ratings.

As a T he a tre Manager at our Exeter Hospital , you'll bring a nursing/practitioner qualification, specialist training and impressive senior-level experience in a clinical setting. Ideally, your wide-ranging skills will include teaching and assessment, as well as ILS/ALS. A professional management qualification would also be an advantage.

Core hours are Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work and participation in the management on-call rota to ensure operational and clinical leadership support.

About Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital

The Exe te r Nuffield hospital is based next to the RD&E hospital in Wonford , Exe te r . The hospital has 2 theatres, as well as a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre and an Endoscopy suite. There are two ward areas: an inpatient area with 21 beds and a day-case ward with 12 beds. We also have a busy outpatient department, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and radiology department including an MRI scanner. We specialise in elective orthopaedic and spinal surgery, cardiology including invasive procedures, general surgery, plastics and cosmetic surgery, ENT, and gynaecology. The Hospital has a MAKO robot that undertakes some of the joint replacement surgery which we have become well known for in this field of surgery.
