Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or equivalent.
• Experience in sterile services or NHS logistics desirable.
• Understanding of quality assurance and infection control is useful.

Responsibilities

• To work as part of the Theatre Logistics team, providing a delivery and collection service for used contaminated surgical equipment and instrumentation, ensuring its timely transfer to and return from an off-site decontamination facility in accordance with agreed schedules and service standards
• To provide a storekeeping service ensuring stock rotation in all User areas.
• To ensure all storage areas are maintained in line with cleaning schedules and infection control advice
• To undertake regular manual handling activities, including the lifting, moving, loading, and unloading of stock, equipment, and medical consumables, and the safe manoeuvring of heavy supply and instrument trolleys throughout the hospital site.
