Job summary

Circle Health Group is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join the Theatre team at Mount Alvernia Hospital in Guildford. This is a full-time, permanent role of 37.5 hours per week with a flexible shift pattern.

You will assist with personal care, support eating and mobility, perform routine observations after training, and work with nurses and doctors to ensure safe patient care. NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in care or health support roles is preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain dignity.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, infection control and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, mobility, dressing and toileting.
• Support eating, drinking and nutritional intake with documentation as needed.
• Provide comfort and emotional support to patients and relatives.
• Record routine observations after training (BP, pulse, temp, SpO2).
• Assist with wound care setup, catheter care and pressure area prevention.
• Prepare clinical areas and equipment for patient use.
• Collaborate with nurses, doctors and admin teams to ensure safe care.
