Job summary

Birmingham Hippodrome is recruiting a Facilities Operative to join our busy venues team. You will perform scheduled and reactive maintenance across the building, ensuring safety, efficiency and high standards of work within agreed timescales.

Candidates should have hands-on maintenance experience in large venues, familiarity with painting, carpentry and lamp replacement, and IT skills including Office 365 and Jira (training provided). We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Broad hands-on maintenance experience in large buildings.
• Good literacy and numeracy.
• Willingness to work Monday–Friday with potential out-of-hours support.

Responsibilities

• Undertake scheduled and reactive maintenance to high standards.
• Operate in line with policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
• Assist Facilities Electrician, Plumber, Manager and Head of Facilities to ensure systems are maintained.
