Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Nurse/ODP to join the Theatres Education Team in Anaesthetics & Recovery for Churchill Theatres & Day Surgery Unit. The role focuses on developing staff in clinical practice and delivering local and Trust Theatre training.

The successful candidate will have extensive operating theatre experience, be passionate about teaching, supporting and motivating others, and work across Churchill Theatres to deliver education with

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing/ODP/Health Care Studies or equivalent.
• Specific Theatres qualification.
• Practice Supervisor & Assessor Course.
• Anaesthetic & Recovery experience.
• Experience supporting students/new staff.
• Postgraduate study at level 7

Responsibilities

• This role will support the education and development of staff and students within the clinical area.
• You will demonstrate excellent communication, influencing and leadership skills.
• You will be encouraged and supported to further develop through educational opportunities across theatres.

Education

Nursing/ODP degree or Health Care Studies equivalent
