Job summary

The Portland Hospital in London, part of HCA Healthcare UK, is seeking a Theatre Practitioner – Anaesthetics to join our team. As the only private hospital in the UK dedicated to women and children, we offer a highly specialised environment across paediatric, maternity and wide clinical services.

In this role you will support both paediatric and adult patients, prepare anaesthetic rooms, assist during procedures and contribute to on-call rotas.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as an ODP or NMC registration as RN.
• Anaesthetic theatre experience or a strong interest in anaesthetics.
• Experience preparing and managing anaesthetic rooms and equipment safely.
• Strong communication and teamwork in a multidisciplinary theatre.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality anaesthetic care across paediatric and adult procedures.
• Prepare, check and maintain anaesthetic equipment and theatre environments.
• Support anaesthetists during procedures and respond to patient needs.
• Participate in on-call and standby rota, including maternity cases.
• Contribute to a learning environment focused on safety and excellence.
