Job summary

The Portland Hospital in London is seeking an experienced Anaesthetic Practitioner to join our Theatre team. This private hospital specializes in women and children’s health and offers a highly skilled, multidisciplinary environment.

As a Theatre Practitioner – Anaesthetics, you’ll participate in a busy perioperative pathway, support anaesthetists across paediatric, maternity and general surgery, and contribute to excellent patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as ODP or NMC registration as RN.
• Extensive post-registration experience in anaesthetic theatres.
• Recognised anaesthetics qualification or anaesthetic course.
• Experience preparing and managing anaesthetic rooms and equipment safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, check and maintain anaesthetic equipment to ensure safe and effective use.
• Support anaesthetists during a wide range of paediatric, maternity and general surgical procedures.
• Monitor patients throughout anaesthesia, maintaining the highest standards of safety and care.
• Deliver compassionate care throughout the perioperative journey, ensuring patient comfort and wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with the wider theatre team across multiple specialities to support excellent clinical outcomes.
