The Royal Academy of Music seeks a Copywriter and Publications Manager to create engaging marketing content. In this full-time role, you will ensure adherence to house style, manage schedules, and produce both printed and digital publications while working in a dynamic environment in London.
We are currently seeking a creative and musically aware Copywriter and Publications Manager to create engaging marketing and communications copy for the Academy as well as to be guardian of our house style.
Full-time: 32.5 hours per week
Salary range: £40,916 per annum inclusive of London Allowance
Hybrid work: available with at least 3 days in the Academy
Start date: 1 September 2025

We are currently seeking a creative and musically aware Copywriter and Publications Manager to create engaging marketing and communications copy for the Academy as well as to be guardian of our house style.
The successful candidate would be expected on-site for a minimum of three days per week as per the hybrid working policy.

You will be self-motivated with excellent organisational and project management skills. You will be an exceptional writer with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively across a wide range of audiences and a good knowledge of classical music. Flexibility, a positive attitude and the ability to work under pressure are also essential attributes for this role.
To be successful in this role you will need previous experience of copywriting and editing documents and adhering to style/brand guidelines. You will have a demonstrable background in creating and managing complex schedules. Experience working in publications within the arts or higher education sectors would be an advantage.
You will be responsible for generating and coordinating copy for all Academy publications - printed and digital - and will write, commission, edit and proofread copy, and manage the content and/or schedule for the publication of the termly diary, annual Guide, concert programmes, the Principal's Bulletin and any other publications or digital content as required.
