The Role

As Head of Music, you will lead a committed department in delivering an engaging, inclusive, and high-quality music curriculum across all key stages. You will have the vision to build a thriving musical culture both within and beyond the classroom—developing school performances, choirs, instrumental groups, and partnerships with local arts organisations.

• Lead and manage the Music Department with passion and strategic clarity
• Design and deliver a creative curriculum that inspires all learners
• Promote music across the school and wider community
• Support the development of extra-curricular opportunities and school events
• Create a love of music through high expectations and inclusive teaching practice

• A qualified teacher with experience of leading or significantly contributing to music education
• A creative and strategic thinker who can lead curriculum innovation
• An individual committed to student success, cultural enrichment, and personal growth
• A collaborative colleague who will contribute to the wider leadership of the academy
