Job summary

Herbert Parkinson, a proud part of the John Lewis Partnership, invites applications for a permanent role in Darwen to develop the process and technical expertise from concept to production. You will create product specifications, SOPs and drive the implementation of new products into Operations, aligned with ISO standards.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve KPI targets, support upskilling and training, and help build a sustainable manufacturing operation based at our Darwen office.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in textile manufacturing.
• Proven track record of delivering a product pipeline.
• Thorough understanding of product development lifecycles & creating specifications.
• Excellent presentation & training capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead on the development and implementation of products into manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with the Product Manager on developed prototypes.
• Establish efficient manufacturing specifications to achieve high-quality, repeatable products.
• Create robust SOPs and hand over to Operations & Commercial teams.
• Support upskilling and refresher training for JL stakeholders.
• Support the development and supervision of a training school, inspiring local talent.
