About The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Finance System Testing & Training Lead to join the Project team at Islington Council for a fixed term of 12 months starting May 2025. We are implementing a new ERP - Technology One's OneCouncil SaaS+ solution, and this role is crucial for delivering a successful go-live in April 2026.
In this position, you'll lead the development and execution of testing strategies to validate system functionality, performance, and reliability. As a Testing and Training Lead, you'll design and deliver training programs to equip end-users with the necessary skills and knowledge. Your role involves coordinating with project managers, IT specialists, and stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition, minimize disruptions, and maximize system benefits.
Key responsibilities
Testing: Lead testing teams, develop test plans, conduct tests, ensure quality, support projects, and define testing strategies.
Training: Create training strategies, design programs, collaborate on needs analysis, produce materials, conduct sessions, evaluate effectiveness, provide support, and develop a training portal.
What we're looking for
A qualified professional (AAT or studying towards CCAB, CIMA, CIPFA, etc.) with proven experience in ERP testing, managing testers, planning test activities, stakeholder collaboration, and delivering training workshops using various methods.
